Martinez: Tax Increases Will Hurt New Mexico
Las Cruces – Susana Martinez, Republican gubernatorial candidate today released the following statement in response to tax increaeses approved by both the House and Senate:
“The hundreds of millions in tax increases approved in the Roundhouse will do nothing to grow our economy, in fact, they will do just the opposite. Instead of ridding New Mexico of wasteful projects and bloated salaries, the Richardson/Denish Administration and liberals in Santa Fe are asking hard working men and women to clean up their mess. As governor, I will put an end to the waste, fraud and abuse and get our books in order without raising taxes. Today’s news is further proof that Diane Denish’s failed leadership has left our state bankrupt.”
