RETIRED FBI AGENT, REP. DENNIS KINTIGH STANDS WITH SUSANA MARTINEZ
Las Cruces – Susana Martinez, Republican candidate for governor today issued the following statement regarding the endorsement of state Representative Dennis J. Kintigh:
Susana Martinez said, “I am extremely pleased to have the support of Representative Kintigh. Being a former FBI special agent, Dennis is someone who understands the role of law enforcement and how important it is for government to operate in an honest and transparent fashion. If elected governor, I look forward to working closely with Dennis to clean up the mess in Santa Fe, and restore respect and integrity to state government.”
State Representative Dennis Kintigh (District 57 – Chaves, Lincoln & Otero Counties) issued the following statement regarding his endorsement of Susana Martinez for Governor:
“I am endorsing Susana Martinez for Governor because she is a tough prosecutor who will confront the culture of corruption that permeates the State of New Mexico. Pay-to-play and other forms of dishonesty have, for too long, had a grip on our state. This is due to a willingness of some in positions of leadership to turn a blind eye toward those who violate the public trust and an unwillingness to hold ‘political insiders’ accountable. As a former career FBI agent I say ‘enough.’ Susana Martinez has served as the District Attorney in Las Cruces for thirteen years managing one of the busiest District Attorney’s Offices in the State. She manages a multi-million dollar budget and is responsible for hiring, firing and motivating a skilled staff of professionals. Her exceptional qualities were recently recognized by her peers when she was named ‘Prosecutor of the Year.’ I firmly believe that there are points in history when certain people are called to service and action; this is the time for New Mexico and Susana Martinez is that person. As Governor, Martinez would provide the leadership to wipe away corruption in New Mexico and restore public confidence. With a proven record of taking on corruption and winning crossover votes in a heavily Democratic county, Susana has shown she can win the trust and confidence of every voter who is hungry for clean government.”
Kintigh joins fellow state legislators Rep. Zach Cook, Rep. Keith Gardner, Rep. William Gray, Rep. Nora Espinoza, Rep. Dennis Roch, state Sen. Steve Neville, state Sen. William Sharer, state Sen. Dianna Duran, state Sen. John Ryan and state Sen. Sander Rue in believing Martinez is the strongest candidate to represent Republicans this fall against Diane Denish. Martinez has also received endorsements from former Bernalillo County Sheriff Darren White, University of New Mexico Regent Jack Fortner and George P. Bush, the oldest son of Governor Jeb Bush and the nephew of President George W. Bush.
